About Us

ABOUT US

For more than 170 years, First Presbyterian Church of Granbury has been part of the heart of our community. Our roots reach back to the 1850s, and our beautiful historic sanctuary—completed in 1896, continues to stand as a beloved landmark in downtown Granbury and a testament to God’s faithfulness through the generations.

While our history is something we treasure, our focus is on the people who gather here today.

At the center of our campus is our historic sanctuary, surrounded by modern spaces designed to support every aspect of church life. Together, our four downtown Granbury buildings provide welcoming places for worship, Bible studies, fellowship, children’s and youth ministries, mission projects, community events, and celebrations of life’s most meaningful moments.

Whether you’re joining us for Sunday worship, attending a special event, looking for a place to grow in your faith, or simply exploring the church for the first time, you’ll find a campus that is both rich in history and alive with purpose. Our unique blend of historic beauty and contemporary ministry spaces reflects who we are—a congregation that honors its heritage while looking forward with hope and excitement.

We believe church is more than a building. It’s a place to belong, to grow, to serve, and to experience God’s love alongside others. The best way to learn about First Presbyterian Church is to come and experience for yourself — through worship, study, outreach, friendships, and more — what a vibrant and meaningful community it is.

We invite you to come and see what God is doing at First Presbyterian Church of Granbury.
