CHILDREN & YOUTH

Everyone Is Welcome

At First Presbyterian Church of Granbury, children are not only welcome in worship—they are an important and joyful part of our church family! We welcome the wiggles, giggles, questions, and wonder that children bring to worship.

Parents and grandparents are invited to help children find age-appropriate activities in the west area of the Sanctuary. Families may also choose our Colorful Kids Zone in Fellowship Hall, located at 300 W. Bridge St., where worship is live-streamed.

Changing tables are available in both the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.

A Special Moment for Our Children

Every Sunday, children are invited to join Reverend Angela for a special “Shout Out to the Kids” during worship. Through an interactive story and a meaningful message, children are encouraged to explore their faith and discover how God’s love is at work in their lives.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered September through May on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.

It is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about God, ask questions, build friendships, and grow together in faith.

Parent’s Night Out

Parents deserve a little time to recharge, too!

Our Parent’s Night Out is typically held monthly from September through May on the third Friday of the month, from 5:30–8:00 p.m.

Children can be dropped off at Fellowship Hall, where our trusted caregivers provide a meal and an evening filled with fun, friendship, games, and activities. While the children enjoy their special evening, parents can enjoy a well-deserved break.

Camping & Bible School

We offer several camping and Bible School programs for children throughout the year providing children fun-filled days of activities and spiritual encouragement to help them open their hearts to God’s love. For more information, select a link below:

Keeping Children Safe

The safety and well-being of children and youth entrusted to our care is a sacred responsibility.

First Presbyterian Church of Granbury uses MinistrySafe for background checks and sexual abuse prevention training. We also follow a Child, Youth & Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy that guides our teachers, caregivers, and volunteers in providing a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all.
