Adults

ADULTS

At First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Granbury, adults of all ages and stages of life will find meaningful opportunities to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and serve our community. Whether through Bible study, fellowship, mission, or shared experiences, there is a place for everyone to belong.

Bible Studies & Faith Formation

Our Brown Bag Bible Study meets on Tuesdays at noon in Memorial Hall at 202 W. Pearl St., during the fall and winter seasons. This intergenerational group explores the upcoming Scripture passages for Sunday worship, offering thoughtful discussion and preparation for the week’s sermon.

During the seasons of Advent and Lent, we offer evening learning opportunities through engaging book studies that invite participants to deepen their faith and cultivate meaningful spiritual practices.

Serving Together

At FPC Granbury, serving others is an important expression of our faith. Adults have numerous opportunities to make a difference throughout the year.

Our twice-yearly Rummage Sales provide opportunities for volunteers to participate in every aspect of this community mission. Each Thanksgiving, we collect turkeys and all the traditional meal fixings to help provide holiday dinners for families in our community. During Advent, our Christmas Giving Tree invites members to purchase gifts that bring joy to local families while sharing the love of Christ.

Throughout the summer, we also support children in foster care by providing shoes and back-to-school supplies, helping them begin the school year with confidence and care.

Fellowship & Community

Life together at First Presbyterian is filled with opportunities for fun, connection, and fellowship. Adults enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year, including:

  • Monthly Bunco gatherings
  • Dinners for Eight
  • Game nights
  • All-church picnics at Bentwater
  • Our annual Fourth of July Community Hot Dog Lunch
  • Day trips and road adventures
  • Outings to plays, concerts, and other local events

These gatherings create a welcoming environment where friendships flourish and our church family grows stronger together.

You’ll also find seasonal meals, special events, and new opportunities for learning and fellowship throughout the year. We believe that growing in faith is a lifelong journey, and we look forward to discovering new and creative ways to learn, serve, and celebrate together.

Beyond Our Congregation

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we are connected to a wider family of faith through Grace Presbytery. Adults are encouraged to participate in retreats, conferences, and continuing education opportunities throughout the year, including inspiring retreats at Mo-Ranch and Camp Gilmont. Find out more about Camp Gilmont.

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you’ll find a welcoming community at First Presbyterian Church of Granbury—a place to grow in Christ, serve with purpose, and build meaningful relationships.
